Ahoy there! This website, for better or for worse, has launched and set sail!
Like the submarine made famous by the film starring Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson, she’s shy of some functionality but at least she’s watertight!
I’ve heard it said among filmmakers that films are never completed, only abandoned. There’s always something you want to keep improving but budgets and deadlines come at you and in order to make your premiere date you have to abandon the film as is and hope for the best. (That is, until the DVD comes out and you can add missing scenes and commentaries!)
Websites operate in a similar but opposite manner, where you can endeavor to some degree of perfection but at some point you have to go live! This may mean you are deficient in some form of functionality but at least (if she’s watertight) she can properly represent you or your company. Once you are live, however, unlike a feature film, you can continue weekly, daily, (hourly!!) making updates to improve upon your creation.
So that’s where I am today. For the last two weeks my site has been “90% there” so it’s time to bite the bullet and launch. As long as the mandate is to continually improve, one will never make “launch date” so today’s the day!
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to continue to entertain, make you think, and strike up a great conversation.

wow a lot of articles for the 1st day ‘live’. Keep it up Anthony
Thanks, Charles! I enjoy the quote from Augustine in my quote rotator above where he said “I profess to be one of those who, by profiting, write, and by writing profit.” I’ve also heard about writing that everyone has a book inside of them, and for most, that’s exactly where it should stay
